The Dayak Tribe

The girl in the picture above is biting a "mandau" (traditional chopper of Dayak tribe).
Dayak tribe is a group of people who are still alive in primitive way far inland Borneo island. During expansion of Mongolian to China in the 5th century, some Chinese sailed left the continent to South China Sea and arrived in Borneo island. They run far into the jungle and live in the land ever after. Up present some of them have been influenced by modernization, while some others are still hold traditional living. They faith is Kaharingan animism. They believe that the god creates their ancestors from the wood. That's why Dayak tribe worship the trees in the jungle.
