Monas at Night

Monas (Monumen Nasional = National Monument) is the landmark of Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia. It has truly gold at the top of the peak. It's only about 135 meters height, this concept similar to a shining candle light on a chawan (Japanese small plate). It's located sharp at the centre of Central Jakarta where the government offices are centralised right in this area such Istana Negara (President Palace) and lots of departments, Parliament, and still many others.
Inside the building we can here voice record of Soekarno-Hatta, first president and vice president Republic of Indonesia, when they proclaimed Indonesian freedom. It's complete with the authentic script. There are also many miniatures showing us the struggle of Indonesian heroes and heroines against the Dutch colonials. By the lift we can rise to the peak to see the landscape of Jakarta widely. Here the concept is similar to Tokyo Tower in Tokyo city, Japan. If you are interested to try rising to the highest floor, I suggest you not to come during July. Because it's crowded, full of visitors and you can not breath. The locket is downstairs underground. The ticket is approximately $1. Outside the building you can get on the tram go surrounding the park around the monument.

Europe's tallest building, the Shard on London's south bank, opened last night with a spectacular light and laser show.Londoners flocked to rooftops, balconies and public spaces as the tower, which rises to 1,016ft above the city, was lit in blue, green, purple and gold and lasers probed out across a clear night sky in the capital. From its uppermost floors on a crystal clear day, it is claimed you can see France.London Bridge station resembles a toy train set at the base of the building and every other landmark in the capital suddenly looks rather stumpy.

I'm speechless can not say anything. Just to say : WOW SPECTACULAR, TERRIFIC, GREAT, WONDERFUL, AMAZING, AND WOW…. WOW…WOW…. Thanks for sharing. I know Indonesia can not compete with European countries because Indonesia isn't rich country. 😦
